Turbine airfoils (rotating and stationary):
- Castings; Wrote specifications for and qualified castings for most of GE’s family of large industrial gas turbines MS3002 – MS9001F
- Coatings: Evaluated and qualified metallic overlay and diffusion coatings for same engines.
- Coatings: Evaluated and qualified coating removal processes for same engines
- Joining: Developed first successful method to weld tip caps to large industrial gas turbine buckets.
- Quality control: Worked closely with service centers to evaluate and qualify overall repair processes for GE family of industrial engines.
- Failure Analysis: Performed many failure analyses and made presentations to customers.
Turbine combustion systems:
- Systems: Responsible for material application and failure investigation work.
Turbine compressor blades:
- Materials Specifications: Responsible for material qualification and failure related work.
Customer support:
- Made many presentations to customers concerning new technology and existing customer issues, primarily bucket failure related.
